Clifford “Riley” Green, age 88, of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born on March 31, 1929. Riley was preceded in death by his wife, Frances McClure Green; son, Terry Stepp; daughter, Glenda Davis; parents, Ralph Green and Nannie Green; brother, Clarence Green; sister, Frances Tuck; and a grandchild, McNoel Davis.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Buddy and Janice Green of Dalton; daughter, Diane Robertson of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Darlene Green, Sherry Tavares (Ronald), Tony Davis (Debbie), Jason Davis (Wendy); great grandchildren, TJ Quinn, Kasey Paige, AnnaGrace Paige, Riley Tavares, Kristen Nutter, Ryan Tavares, Joshua Davis, Hailey Smith, Elisa Whitherspoon, Aaron, Justin, Esther, Heather, Abigail, Emily, Jason, Caleb, Phillip, Chloe, and Julia Davis; and several great great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Gordon Health Care.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Clifford “Riley” Green will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with his granddaughter Riley Tavares giving the eulogy. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA; 706-529-5371.

    I am so sorry for your loss.I remember your family when I was a child and my step dad and him were friends plus they were brother in laws Virgil Tuck and my mom would visit often when we were children I will be praying for your family

    It was such a joy to get to care for Mr. Green. He was such a light and joy to our staff. May our Lord Jesus give the family comfort in this difficult time of letting go of a loved one. May you have comfort in the knowledge that he is in the presence of the Lord now.
